...blacks to Africa before he died? I was told in school Lincoln supported the American Colonization Society to send blacks back to Africa, after they send a few thousand, Lincoln was assassinated, and it did not get enough support after that. If Lincoln didn't die and send most blacks back to Africa, what do you think America would be like today? Would it be any different?

There was a movement like that in the 19th century that fizzled out during the Civil War and sprang up again until the early 20th century.

There was much ado about it too, literally, but it died off.

Yes, there was a hypothetical chance that if all the free blacks and freed slaves had emigrated back to Africa(not really possible though) that the USA would have been a LOT different place and the blatant racism aginst blacks may not exist as it does today, but believe me, the republicans, especially in the south, would surely find another 'whipping boy' to sate their bloodlust !!

No, pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, basically all music except for Country (which is mainly Mexican) and maybe Bluegrass and definitely Classical music.

Also, America would probably be a less tolerant nation and it wouldn't be seen as such a transcendent nation, the multiculturalism really does make America seem more powerful than all other countries, it's like America takes the best of all worlds and became what it is today. If America was more homogeneous it wouldn't be as creative or open-minded, and it would just be another country. I don't think America would be as confident in playing the central role in the world, the way it does now, and we probably wouldn't have a superpower on Earth.

Not as colorful.
I live in an area that is 65% black. I am white. I love living here. The blacks are very nice, polite, humble, real and I always hear them happily singing. I love black people!
