What would be a good cupcake recipe for buttercream icing?

I'm making cupcakes for a friend's birthday party on Friday, and she's specified that she really likes buttercream icing. Unfortunately, I'm not very experienced in the kitchen and I'm not sure what kind of cupcakes would go well with that kind of icing. Any ideas?
