I have heard bits and pieces of Glass's compositions and have liked what I have heard so far. What would be some suggestions for introductory CD's?

I'm not a big Philip Glass fan but I do have a favorite.

The title of the work (and CD) is 'Passages' and it was a musical collaboration with the famed sitar player and composer Ravi Shankar. It was conposed and recorded in 1990 before Glass became world known.

Each composer wrote music for the other to perform and this CD still blows me away even today when I pull it out to listen to it.

I suggest you buy it, listen to it and study it. I'm sure you'll love it.
