What would be a good theme for a "bike-a-thon"?

At our school we are doing a 48 hour team bike-a-thon for cancer awareness. It is required that we have a theme for our team to promote the cause.but so many themes have already been done. What would be a good theme that is original for both guys and girls? :)

What about a theme of bicycles. The different types, the history of, the development of, the cycling through the ages fashion, etc, etc.

Get people to get hold of or buy, (cheap) old bicycles and show them at the start. Perhaps get each team to ride their old bike for a short time at the start or end of the event. Have the rider dress in period clothing to suit the period of their bicycle. Contact bicycle groups who collect, ride and demonstrate their bicycles. Contact the local press. Have a (small) prize for the best entrant of the 'old' bike section of the event.

Have the supporters/friends of the riders dress in clothing from the correct period for 'their' bike.

The possibilities are manifold with costumes and bikes from the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc etc.
