I have ideas for video games and cartoons, which are all under the same title, with the exception of various subtitles.
In the games (the original series), the protagonist has different versions of himself in almost each game, which are set in different continuities. His name can be whatever the player wants, as he represents them, more than having his own character. He's also the mascot of the frachise.
Now I also have ideas for 4 tv series, each with their own protagonists, setting, and story. The mascot from the games is not a protagonist in any of them. A few of the games have a completely different character as well.
What I'm wondering is will fans who started with the game be turned off from the series, because the protagonists change? I would always make games with the mascot either way.
