What would you do if someone in a work meeting insulted your religion?

like they were very opinionated and talking about a whole group of people (christians)
and they were popular in the office and had a high social status and were well respected by everyone.
and everyone in the office agrees with everything that comes out of that persons mouth like it was the word of god (Ironic)

would you go against them even though they were much more witty than you?
