its a nice car but being an alfa i'd be prepared for a breakdown or two, you'd be better of with a ford fiesta, much more reliable and cheaper to insure, or if your going for looks the new fiat 500 is nice and reliable

My dad is getting me an alfa romeo mito turismo for my first car, i think its beautiful looking but im only little lady so dont want something too big, do you think it would be ok for a first car as i dont know much about cars apart from its a 1.4. Im 17 by the way. thankss

A pretty car. The Mito is based on Fiat Grande Punto underpinnings, in Italy there's a "junior" 78bhp insurance-friendly version, but not in the UK. I think you (or Dad) ought to look into insurance costs first, the words Alfa Romeo tend to make insurers flinch.

it's ok for a first car but don't expect it to not break down, Not the most reliable of cars. good liter engine so wont be tooo expensive for the insurance but will make up the cost of keeping it working tbh. The best first time car for cheap insurance would be a vauxhall corsa, or up market and peugeot 206 very reliable car and not to bad insurance. Hope this helps
