I usually like to give my books and stories names once I find out the plot and get to at least the 5th chapter, or middle of the short story. The problem is; I haven't thought of a name for this one. I'll give you the summary and then tell you what I was gonna name it and allow you all to give an opinion.
Okay so I am writing a book a lot like Jenny Hughes types, or otherwise what would be found in the PONY book club books, more aimed to readers in the age groups of 10-15 years.
So the book is about a girl named Jessica who's 15. She owns a little backyard horse farm and 3 horses of her own. Her boyfriend lives in Scotland and has called for help. A terrible storm caused a large tree to fall on one of the stables and the whole estate was trashed. Two of the horses went missing and kill-buyers (people who buy horses to send to slaughter) end up getting a hold of them. A spirit senses the horses' distress and tries to help them before they get taken but ends up bumping into Jessica and Evan (her boyfriend.) The spirit is able to change forms between human and horse, mainly taking the horse form. Really, this spirit is a "horse angel" of sorts.
It's really complicated to summarize but the story is coming together nicely, in a slow pace. I'm on the 5th chapter and they haven't even explained the legend behind the angel yet, so I'm explaining it slowly so people can understand it.
I was thinking of "Silence Before the Storm," because all of this wouldn't have happened if there was never a storm, and there always seems to be an eery feeling before something else happens in the story, like the silence before the storm.
If any of you guys have an idea for a name I'd greatly appreciate it, I'm planning on publishing this as a book, I've been working on it for quite a while.
Thanks, and sorry for the big wall of text!
