Whats a good SUV for a guy?

Im a 20 year old guy, and im looking for a suv that doesn't come off as a family man or soccer mom type thing, i do like sport cars but i like to drive a bigger vehicle then a car cause im a bigger guy and i travel with friends,family and co workers a lot.

I want something that looks sporty, tough looking and has some speed to it, not talking sport car speed but with enough power to out ran a truck or van.

New or used, large or mid size, don't matter, just want to know what you guys think would be good for me, thanks
 
I like the Ford Escape, The 2008 and newer body style was, to me, just about the right mix of tough and sporty. Plus they get pretty good mileage. Definitly opt for one with the V-6 though. I drove a 2002 Escape for several years and it had enough power to get into trouble and never really let me down in the reliability department.. The Nissan X-Terra is another vehicle that comes to mind as more guy-centric. Having never driven one I am not sure what the performance stats are like though. For a bigger SUV, I really like the Chevy Tahoe / GMC Yukon. The styling is very nice and there is plenty of options and ammenities for any budget. The downside is that being a larger SUV, unless you can afford the Hybrid model, fuel is going to get expensive.

Land Rover Discovery Not a new one think of the discovery series 1 with the 300tdi (turbo diesel injection) engine or a discovery series 2 with a td5 (turbo diesel 5 cylinder)
 
I like the Mercedes Benz M class. Tough, fast, but still has luxury and class. New ones are pricey but you can find some good deals on ones 3 - 5 years old. Try not to purchase older than 2006 however.
 
Can't go wrong with a jeep wrangler preferably the 1989 model
i have one and i'm 19 it's perfect,fun,tough,can take a beating,and reasonable millage
i've tried the newer versions btw and i didn't like them
