What's Rogers Internet [home] access allowance fee mean?

My mom recently switched internet companies to Rogers, and it says something about how we have a 2GB allowance a month? What does that exactly mean? Does going on youtube or how long I stay on the internet affect how many gigs I use up on the allowance thing?
...also, does reading articles and blogging, facebooking and stuff like that add up to the whole 2gb thing as well?
AND does msn count too?

Go with a provider that gives you more for you money. 2Gb is quickly over, when you watch videos online.

Maybe, consider some other company, or a different plan.

The more you do and the more you watch youtube videos the faster that 2GB you have will be gone. You basically only have 2GB of internet use the way i see it.
