I watched the first and second episode of it and I was like "what a lame story" , the girl is weak and doesn't know how to make friends and except from her scary face nothing makes her tough and she falls in love at first sight with a super duper nice guy there is nothing interesting about the story what makes the mange/anime so popular , when my friends told me watch it watch it I thought it would be a great anime like Maid-sama or Skip beat but it was so lame , do you think I should continue and if yes why does something interesting happen , if yes what? tell me , I'm really starting to hate it because my friends always talk about it so highly.

Kimi ni Todoke does a good job with character development and every single one of the characters grow and learn. Finding a series that is realistic, with a believable love story, and likeable characters is relatively hard, which is why, I assume, it has such a large fanbase.

If you haven't enjoyed the series so far and you don't like or understand the female protagonist, then there's no point in continuing to watch it. Kimi ni Todoke is a slice of life and therefore is slow-paced all the way to the very end--if you aren't a fan of the genre, then nothing that happens in the latter part of the series will make it any more enjoyable to you than it currently is.
