...Surround Sound? I want to be able to use my Surround Sound while i watch TV and when i play my PS3 and of course when i watch DVD's. I figured out a way so i get Surround Sound when i watch TV and Blurays but not when i play my PS3?? ..i don't get any sound?? Whats the best way I can set this up so I am getting the most out of my TV, PS3, and Surround Sound System? *My TV has 4 HDMI inputs & 1 Digital Audio Out (OPTICAL) and my Surround Sound System has 1 Digital In (Optical) & 1 HDMI Out and my Verizon cablebox has 1 HDMI & 1 Optical pluggz and my PS3 has also both HDMI Out and Digital Optical Out.

From what i read, you need surround sound at all times no matter what the source is. In that case, send all audio and video to TV and from TV to the surround sound system. You said that your TV has optical out. Hence it can receive 5.1 and send it to surround sound. So in summary here it is.

ps3-> HDMI Cable -> TV
Verizon box -> HDMI Cable -> TV
TV (optical output) - > optical fibre cable -> surround sound ( optical Input)
