I am picking up my new kitten today, and I have a 3 year old and a 4 year old cat. We have decided to extend our family, and I just want to know the best way to introduce them. My two older cats are declawed [my mom did it, don't look at me. I too think that is wrong] and this one probably won't be of course. It's very young, and I hope to bring it up to be friendly and agreeable to the other cats. What is the best approach? I don't want the other cats to threaten it or feel threatened by it. I have enough love for them all but I know how pets feel. It's just like having a child and having a new baby. They'll get jealous, lol.

(keep your kitten and the other two cats seperate or they will get into fights. by doors or something.)

To do this first take 3 towels. Rub each cat with a towel so you get their scent on it. Then give the towel you used on your kitten to the older ones so they can sniff it and get used to it. while you give the other 2 to your kitten so he could get used to the scent. After few days close a door put the cats on one side and your kitten on the other. Let them get used to it. Then open the door just a peek and let them sniff each other in person. Make sure you dont open too much so your kitten goes in or cats come out. If they dont hiss at each other open the door and let them meet. Make
sure you wear gloves becouse if they get into fight you got to pull them away. Do this until they are used to each other. Remember to reward them everytime they visit each other.

Sorry for the long answers
