10 pts for best answer! :)
Just trying to save some money. LOL.

In your blood system. Seriously tho, my grandpa uses water bottles and pop bottles to get alcohol across the border, so getting it on a cruise should be eeeassy.

Sorry, but they know EVERY trick in the book when it comes to smuggling alcohol. It's how they make their money after all

Any bags you bring with you on board are hand checked and scanned like at the airport, even more picky. That's why the bags are taken from you before you get on the ship and returned to you later that evening (and for your convenience as well, but mostly for contraband checks)

You are searched via metal detector and all lose clothing must be removed like jackets, etc. just like at an airport check, and everything is x-rayed very carefully. They remove any liquid you have with you, even water. I've seen them smell my shampoo once even when I brought it in my carry-on. I had gotten some water in it the night before because of a hotel shower.

If you want to save money try not drinking, or just having one drink as a special treat. You can buy one bottle of wine for dinner and have one class every night to make it last the whole trip

Believe me, you won't need to smuggle booze aboard a cruise liner. They float on it.

Everyone we know uses Rumrunners. They're heavy duty plastic bags, made specifically for bringing liquor on board. Check out rumrunners.com.

If cruise lines had reasonably-priced drinks we wouldn't do that, but at $8 - $10 per drink, it gets too expensive. We just got back from a cruise, and everyone had them.

The cruise lines know all the methods. Your baggage is xrayed and each person must go through a screening process similar to a airport security screen. Some cruise lines allow you to bring on your own wine and champange. Check out the web site I have listed for plenty of advice and reviews. Bon Voyage
