How bout no. People that "Match" on the slopes are laughed at. They are looked at like "wow they are trying to look good but their skills are obviously not showing it" Dont do it (:

I wanna get a new snowboarding jacket so what's the current style of jacket?
I might get some pants aswell so what's the style of pants atm?
If you could give us links to certain jackets/pants aswell that would be sweet. Ty
Alright guys there's no need to be rude or anything and say that style doesn't matter. I do t won't to look the exact same as everybody else or match other people I just wanna know what sort of jackets and pants people wear these days. I'm not gunna get something that's cold and uncomfortable just because it looks good. I'm just curious because I live far away from the snow and I never see any snowboarding magazines or any videos so I just didn't wanna show up wearing something that looks completley stupid. And don't say that style doesn't matter. That's bullshit and you know it. Style doesn't matter completley and I'll always wear what I feel better wearing but style does have an influence. You don't go out in your pajamas and dressing gown just braised it feels comfortable cause you look like an idiot. And don't say that I just wanna wear stylish jakes because I'm crap at snowboarding. I can snowboard and have been for years so why not look good while doing it?
Lol braised is meant to be because and jakes is meant to be jacket. My phone corrected haha :)

it doesn't matter, the key is warmth your going to want to stay at or above 10 k in breathability and waterproofing if you want to stay warm on cold days.

There are so many different options for clothing today, you can get just plain colored pants and jackets or clothing with crazy designs its really up to you.

Most people i see riding go with the baggy style clothing, im not going to get into what situations tight clothing could be worn but to me at least it isn't for snowboarding

I have to agree with both the guys above me. EPIC fail on ur part for trying to be a poser.

What the second user said is true as well. there are 3 types of way ppl dress for snowboarding. Tight emo look, relaxed baggy look and the put sh it together at the last minute because im a noob look.

However if you are going to pull off the emo look, you need to be really really good. the only ppl that wear that my resorts are ones that are killing the big jumps and pipes.

Stick with the classic baggy look if you want to fit in. Also if you suck, it doesnt matter which of these 2 looks uv got, ppl will know that ur a poser.

There is a new hesh/gypsy style. It's managed to make it's way down from Oregon, through Mammoth and Tahoe, now down to Big Bear. People are putting feathers in their hair, have tighter pants, longer shirts, make little key chain type things to dangle off of their jackets.
If you really want to be stylish on the mountain check on some holden threads. Or simply make your own stuff, that's what I do. Here are some photos of my own personal style --

Try watching Down With People from Mack Dawg Productions, all of those guys have sweet style. Some people think it's lame, but I like it!

Dont listen to this east coaster. Style is important in snowboarding. Right now there are two styles. Theres a streetwear/emo influenced style which is just slim fit. This is a fairly new style, only a year or two old. Then there's the baggy loose fit style thats been around for a long time.
Heres an example of a streetwear influended style pants and jacket...

Heres a pair of loose fitting style pants and jacket...

Other companies have the slim and loose options too! Theyre both sick in my book......Good LUck

Epic Failure is more like it.

Why try to have style snowboarding, just buy something you like and that fits accordingly. Do not buy something because its in STYLE.

Snowboarding is not about style. well not on the east coast anyway.
I hear those westers have to have style to fit in.....pshhh
