What's the little clear box on the left side of my Suzuki jr50?

O have a 2003 jr50 dirt bike and I just changed the oil and as I was putting the new oil in I noticed a little meter thing that stuck out of the side fender. I looked and it's a little clear/white box and it's empty. Does anyone know what it is and what I put in it?
