I've heard a few for Elderscrolls, and another for Fallout which is actually old news, but still only a rumor.
I'll start with Elderscrolls. Back in 2007 I heard the rumors of them making an Elderscrolls MMO. I was excited but I figured it was a hoax after a couple years of no word. Now there's a report about Elderscrolls V being a sequel to Oblivion. Not only that but an MMO.
I think it's possible that the next game will be a sequel to Oblivion, but still cynical about it being an MMO. I hope so, but I'm not counting on it. Although I do wish or hope that it doesn't take place in Cyrodiil. After four years of playing Oblivion, Shivering Isles, and Knights of the Nine, I am so sick of Cyrodiil.
The other rumors is that Bethesda filed a trademark last year about making Fallout into a movie or TV show. And filed another one recently on making an Oblivion movie.
What's your take on this? Obviously Game Movies tend to flop, either financially or because they just suck. So do you think it's possible for one of these to be made without falling into that suck pit?
