When a chicken lays an egg does it come out brown or white?

It depends on what kind of chicken it is. It either comes out white or brown and NEVER changes color naturally. I mean, u could color it brown if it was white with marker.

Bantam chickens will lay brown or white eggs.
Brown eggs don't turn white nor do white eggs turn brown.

Some chickens do lay brown eggs and they are sold in stores too.

i think it has something to do with where you are, i mean here in the uk chicken eggs are brown but whenever i see an american programme and they show eggs they are white!
