When arguing, are usually in an attacking or defensive mode?

Neither, I'm a very calm person. I don't attack in genuine disagreements. I'm in persuasive mode, I suppose. I haven't been in a long, genuine disagreement with someone in years. It's just not something I do.

it's usually attack disguised as defense. I'm a very tactful arguer. I'm cool as a cucumber but a quick thinker. The other person could be screaming their arse off but I remain calm. They usually just give up on it. I tend to make my point in an argument. I use my words as a weapon.

Definitely 50/50 !!!

I do double duty when it comes to an argument.
Especially if it might even escalate to a physical fight.
I alternate between the 2, first defending if feeling attacked,
then attacking back quite fiercely. Hell, I'm definitely NOT the
type to be controlled by another, especially it comes to an argument in the 1st place !
