When conservatives argue that amnesty will create liberal votes, are they saying

they've given up even trying? ...to recruit minorities into their party?

I don't get it.

Whichever party I was working for, I would try to recruit as many people as I could into the party. And I think everyone knows that if Republicans can't recruit minorities into their party at all, in the long run, they are doomed by simple demographics.

So why do so many conservatives assume that newly-naturalized immigrants will all vote against them? Don't they believe that their political philosophy is compelling enough to draw in new minority recruits?

The Republicans are for rule of law not considering their voter base. They do what is right and legal.

Republicans should just try promising Minorities that they will "Spread The Wealth" to them like Obama does.
