When I close an Internet Explorer window, it pops back up millions of times! How to

make it stop? It's not ads or anything like that ; it's just the same window I had open. For instance, if i had Google up and I closed it, the same Google page would keep popping up over and over again and I have to shut my computer off. I have Norton Anti-Virus, and I've already tried running virus scans. How do I make this stop?
 
go to add/remove programs..get rid of I.E...install Mozilla Firefox.....MUCH..Better..
 
it some time happens whe the site its currently loading havent been loded properly
Its like when u close the window half-way through the site is loading it happens.

When this happens DO NOT PANIC. Stay calm
If u r on a XP press ctrl+alt+del
then u'll get the 'task manager'
go to processes tab
select iexplore.exe
and press end process

same fgoes for Vista but in vista when u press ctrl+alt+del there comes another window thingy and from there u have to select task manager

OR when it happens right click start menue and go to task manager and do the end process thingy.
remeber that ending the application (through applications tab in task manager) doesnt work, u have to end the process of the iexplore.exe

there is only 1 iexplorer.exe in the processes tab, though there r millions of i.explorer windows
