When I try to burn a movie on my Mac using Roxio, It just spits my DVD-r out.....?

and the window saying " INSERT BLANKDISC " keeps popping up! I AM USING BLANK BRAND NEW DVD-r's !!!!

My Mac is a .... Mac OS X version 10.4.11
Processor: 1.25 ghz Power PC G4

I know I am doing everything right program wise with the ROxio but I was just wondering maybe me Mac isnt good enough to burn DVD's PLEASE HELP!
please dont tell me to get a pc I KNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW i had a pc before it got burned in a fire so now i have mac OK!!!!!! just help me dont be all smart assed ok!!!
