When i turn off/restart my HP dv6000 vista, 99% chance my internet wont work

till i restart a few times? I dread everytime i need to restart my laptop as i know my net probably wont work on restart. Its really random how many times/length of time i need to leave my laptop turned off till the internet works again. My connection is via an ethernet cable? This happens when i connect to other peoples cables also. "limited/or no connectivity". Would appreciate any help, cheers.
