Well Apple hasn't released a date for iOS 5 yet. However, iPhone 5 comes out October 20. iOS 5 will probly come out about 10 days in advance so around October 10. This gives users a chance to update so everyone is on the same firmware. If you are a developer (like me) then you most likely already have iOS 5. I've been using the beta versions on the new firmware for over a month now.
