about- mingling with the crowds? Rev 21:3 King James Version
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will DWELL with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Rev 21: 3- Basic English Bible.
And there came to my ears a great voice out of the high seat, saying, See, the Tent of God is with men, and he will make his living-place with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them, and be their God.

Rev 21:3- New Revised Standard Version.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them

Your Thoughts..what say ye?

God himself did walk this earth, as a matter of fact his name was Jesus. We all know God was rejected by the people he came to save and eventually crucified. The next time God comes to this earth wont necessarily be to give us another chance

Hi,

I also like this version of Rev 21:3-4 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

3 Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look! God's dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will exist no longer; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things [d] have passed away

Verse 3 "and he will he will live with them"

To live with someone, means to be with them :-) I like a lot....

Edit....with regards to Rev 21:1-2

If Peter’s words are to be taken literally and the planet Earth is to be consumed by real fire, then the literal heavens—the stars and the other heavenly bodies—are also to be destroyed by fire. This view, however, conflicts with the assurance found at such scriptures as Matthew 6:10: “Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth,” and Psalm 37:29: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” Furthermore, what effect would fire have on the already intensely hot sun and stars, which produce nuclear explosions continuously?

On the other hand, the Bible often uses the term “earth” in a figurative sense. For example, Genesis 11:1 says: “Now all the earth continued to be of one language.” Here, the word “earth” refers to mankind in general, or human society. (See also 1*Kings 2:1, 2; 1*Chronicles 16:31.) The context of 2*Peter 3:5,*6 implies the same figurative use of “earth.” It refers to Noah’s day when a wicked human society was destroyed in the Flood but Noah and his household as well as the globe itself were preserved. (Genesis 9:11) Likewise, at 2*Peter 3:7, it says that the ones to be destroyed are “ungodly men.” This view agrees with the rest of the Bible. The wicked society earmarked for desolation is also “the former earth” referred to at Revelation 21:1, quoted earlier.

Indeed, just as a caring earthly father will take every measure possible to ensure the inviolability of his home, Jehovah God is keenly concerned about his creation. He once evicted an immoral and wicked people from the fertile Jordan Valley and assured the new caretakers of the land, who were in a covenant with him, that if they kept his statutes, ‘the land would not vomit them out for their defiling it the same way as it would certainly vomit the nations out who were before them.’—Leviticus 18:24-28.

“A New Earth”

Today, a society that is sexually depraved, violently brutal, and politically corrupt has polluted the earth. Only God can rescue it. He will do just that. At Revelation 11:18, he promises “to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” The restored and renewed earth will be populated by people who fear God and sincerely love their fellowmen. (Hebrews 2:5; compare Luke 10:25-28.) The changes that take place under God’s heavenly Kingdom will be so profound that the Bible speaks of “a new earth”—a new human society.

When we read scriptures like Psalm 37:29 and we comprehend the statement by Christ at Matthew 6:10, we are convinced that neither blind natural forces nor man with all his destructive power will bring an end to our planet. They will not thwart God’s purpose. (Psalm 119:90; Isaiah 40:15, 26)

Faithful mankind will live on earth amid conditions of boundless beauty and endless joy. That is the truth about earth’s destiny, for this is and always has been the purpose of mankind’s loving Creator.

I recognize the words of Solomon on the dedication of the Temple.

(1 Kings 8:27) 27*“But will God truly dwell upon the earth? Look! The heavens, yes, the heaven of the heavens, themselves cannot contain you; how much less, then, this house that I have built!

And God's own words to Moses.

(Exodus 33:20) 20*And he added: “You are not able to see my face, because no man may see me and yet live.”

Since Revelation 21:4 says that death will be "no more", that means the previous words in verse 3 have a different meaning than the physical presence of Jehovah God here on the earth.

God had promised others that He would be "with them" too.

Here are His words to Isaac.

(Genesis 26:24) 24*And Jehovah proceeded to appear to him during that night and to say: “I am the God of Abraham your father. Do not be afraid, because I am with you, and I will bless you and multiply your seed on account of Abraham my servant.”

And then the same words to Jacob.

(Genesis 28:13-15) .*.*.“I am Jehovah the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land upon which you are lying, to you I am going to give it and to your seed. 14*And your seed will certainly become like the dust particles of the earth, and you will certainly spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and by means of you and by means of your seed all the families of the ground will certainly bless themselves. 15*And here I am with you and I will keep you in all the way you are going and I will return you to this ground, because I am not going to leave you until I have actually done what I have spoken to you.”

Since God was able to be with them and not be physically present, I see the words of Revelation 21:3 in the same sense.

As Paul wrote of those who are blessed by Jehovah God as coming into an approved position as "children of God" and those would have that freedom that loved children have with their father.

Revelation 21 shows that those "children of God" will be living with their Father's approval and protection. And just as He was "with" Isaac and Jacob, their Protector and God, I look forward to everlasting life as one of His faithful sons.

For me , this scripture sounds like what I know that Jesus was God in flesh..

Jesus said , He will come back and join us with Him.
Happy days are there again.
All who overcomes problems patiently shall inherit this promise.

I do not picture a physical dwelling or tent. What I do picture is a Heavenly Government or Kingdom that will have interaction with the subjects on earth.

This is why Rev. also mentions two sheep folds - anointed in heaven and subjects on earth.

When it speaks about no more tears or pain that makes sense to see that here on earth. Now things are quite different for most, dealing with Satan and the demons. They will meet their end to enable to earth to become truly peaceful and all to be worshippers of Jehovah the Most High. How wonderful to have the hope of living forever on earth. (Ps. 37:10, 11, 29; Rev. 21:1-5)

It's no surprise, Christ Jesus did say He would return the same way He left us, did He not? Not to mention that God did walk with man before the fall of mankind in the Beginning.

This only proves that Christ Jesus is God.
