When someone replies with just a "lol"...?

Should you reply back? Me and this guy I like were messaging each other on facebook and he just replies with "lol" :| I don't want to seem clingy by replying but I really want to talk to him
 
It depends on their other answers. Like If all of them are really short like kk; lol; yeah; sure; etc. then you might wanna leave him alone and maybe tr to see if he will initiate a longer conversation by YOU using a short answer and like see what he says. (: Good Luck !
