When was the governor chip for all vehicles introduced? and what was the first model and make of car to have it installed on it as a mandatory stock part?
 
what country do you live in,cause it ain't the U.S.governors are not installed on any U.S car that, I have ever seen.I own a 96 monte it will do 130 on a flat run. Plus our 01 durango. isn,t governed either.we went to nevada.last summer and cruised at 110 for quite a few miles..So governor. I think not.I call my buddy at the dodge dealer ship,just now he'd never heard of such a thing. and he's a mechanic.
 
Certain Ford trucks used commercially have had them since the early '90's...
