When was the snowmobile invented?

I know that it was invented by Joseph-Armand Bombardier, but I don't know when..
 
In 1922, Joseph-Armand Bombardier invented his very first snowmobile. He would later go on to invent several other types of snowmobiles, and finally in 1959, he invented the first practical and sucsessful snowmobile.
