When will Microsoft adopt a Blu Ray Drive for Xbox 360?

Sony and Microsoft are already in talks about creating a Blu-Ray player for the xbox 360 similar to the HD-DVD player(Now discontinued) for the 360. It should not take the two companies long to create a Blu-Ray player for the xbox 360.

Sony says they are in talks with Microsoft about bringing blue ray to the 360. Microsoft has denied it.

Yesterday it was leaked from a company that has previously made drives for te 360 that they are currently developing a blue ray drive for the 360 that should ship later this year. I have no idea if this was an April Fools joke or not.

I think they will. Why use technology that no one lese uses. It would be stupid to make people watch HD dvds on an xbox when no one selss them. IT kind of makes the whole dvd function useless.

They won't. HD-DVD is going out of business- starting this April or May, they won't be making them anymore. That means Blu-Ray has won the battle. Xbox 360 however will not adapt to the Blu-Ray format because it is a product of Sony. And I don't think Microsoft will want to include Blu-Ray players in their 360s because that's pretty much accepting defeat against Sony. They'll probably come up with something of their own.
