When will the Blu-Ray be rendered obsolete?

Do you think Blu-Rays will be overrun by a new technology at some point in the near future, like they were to DVDs?

I'm just wondering if it's worth getting one or keeping my DVD player and waiting for the next big thing to arrive...

I think that if the technology sticks, it will be the technology for some time... probably a few years minimum. It seems prices are dropping on the players and disks, so I believe that the technology will make its way into more homes and the manufacturers and studios will make a good return on it.

I believe next we will see a move toward wireless technology soon for all home theater components. Also the next step for blu-ray will be some kind of wireless electronic/no disk versions.
