When will the UFC get better judges?

For some reason close fights keep getting denied 3rd rounds when they obviously should. If anyone saw the Ultimate Fighter today you could probably see each person had one round even.
Anyone else see it differently? I think Roy Nelson would have taken the third round but that's no reason to give him the fight, am I right?
He got destroyed in the first round, how much luck does this guy have?

I would like to see UFC hall of famers/veterans doing the judging.
I guess I need to view the fights twice.
There is no doubting that Roy has the right gameplan in these fights. He sticks that jab out there, they come in and hit his big head and he clinches and throws knees and uppercuts. It was a pretty good fight thought. Better than the slow-mo meathead incident.

gunna recycle my answer to the other question on the same topic

watched the fight again because usually takes 2 viewings for me to get it because i concentrate on the fighter i want to win generally first time.

watching it a second time i took notes and really tried to c what was landing and what wasn’t.

out of all the combos at the beginning of the fight justin threw the only one that landed solid was the fourth combo that put roy against the cage and ended with roy holding double under hooks and throwing knees. Up to that point i would agree justin was taking it. but after that point justin did not land a hit without taking damage and the hits that landed tended to be off or grazing. and the criteria for a judge is the fighter that lands the more powerful, solid and clean shots is the fighter that gets the round and roy did that in the first from the 3 minute mark to the end justin landed no good shots.

second round started with justin still pushing and missing the majority of his shots some times landing his last shot of the combo while roy used his jab to keep justin outside. justin went for a take down that was stuffed. justin clinched roy lands in the clinch and pushes out. roy lands jabs sold for a minute unanswered. justin swings wildly while roy lands jabs solid stepping back keeping justin outside.

the truth is that judges score on 4 criteria

-Clean Strikes
-Effective Grappling
-Octagon Control
-Effective Aggressiveness

justin landed quite a few shots but they were not clean and other then the one combination did hurt roy but roy landed the clean jab keeping justin where he wanted him during the fight

grappling roy neutralized justin with double under hooks and landed some solid knees in the clinch. in the second he was able to stuff out justins take down.

roy used the octigan to stop justins attacks in the first round

justin was no doubt the more aggressive fighter.

take it for what it is but that is my opinion. went and checked out the full criteria for the judging of fights and re-watched the fight twice.

it would be kool to have fighters who have been in the cage judge the fights but its hard to find a impatial fighter. guys at the pro level are to connected

the UFC has no control over the judging, the Judges work for the State Athletic Commissions. It is what it is that's why Dana White always tells the fighters, not to let it go to a decision.

The UFC doesn't provide the Judges or Referee's. They work for the Athletic Commission of whatever state the event is being held in. They don't have any say so as far as who will ref or judge the fights. If a retired fighter wanted to be a judge he'd have to apply for a license and apparently there is a huge waiting period like indefinite.

The judges do a great job.
And no I would hate see dumb axe retired fighters trying to score a fight.
It is like ex athletes refing a game. LOL No thank you.

Roy Nelson won,

It is too bad that most people don't realize that scoring for MMA is similar to martial arts tournament scoring, and not the same as boxing.
