When you disconnect the internet on a blackberry and a gmail app is

installed in it.Does it count as internet? I got my brother's blackberry and it already had a gmail, facebook, and google map is installed in it. Does that mean i can use it no charge? and i don't have an internet plan on it, so if i do use it, will it be charged for internet or is it nothing and it doesnt matter?
