When you use tabs on the internet...?

Do the artists themselves put them on the internet or do people listen to the songs and write out the tabs?
 
people listen then they interperate them into tabs

just look for tabs with many votes and 4-5 stars, theyll be as good as if the actual musician wrote them
 
people just listen and write out the tabs. like the guy before me said, the more stars the better...all the tabs i get are usually right on...i go to ultimate-guitar.com
 
It depends on what website you go to. Most were submitted by people who listened to the song and wrote them out. Some of them at places such as sheetmusicplus.com have the real tabs from the artists, but you have to by the whole book to get it.
