...execution stay? Can't wait until they wake up and realize that Troy Davis is history!

The Supreme Court late Wednesday rejected an 11th-hour request to block the execution of Troy Davis, who convinced hundreds of thousands of people but not the justice system of his innocence in the murder of an off-duty police officer.

The court did not comment on its order, which came four hours after it received the request. Davis' execution had been set to begin at 7 p.m., but the high court's decision was not issued until after 10 p.m.

Regarding capital punishment, you are aware that your US richclass legal industrial complex uses capital punishment system to thieve mega-multi-millions in working class taxpayer funds -- aren't you? Trial after trial after appeal after appeal, soon enough they've got 50-100 judges and lawyers (far over and above the cost of imprisonment and courthouse duties besides) slithering along behind these taxpayer-cash-fodder condemned prisoners for usually decades, stealing every penny from the public that they can possibly bleed (no pun intended).

You working class go on talking about capital punishment like it's a moral issue for as long as you can draw base emotion -- but know that richclass legal industry isn't. They're raking in your blood and sweat to the tune of millions upon millions from your tax coffers.

Sad situation.

You notice how Christian Republicans love death. They even applaud a governor for killing so many people.

I know right? I mean they kill millions of babies and they want to keep a cop killer alive..

I'm still awake - they'll push the plunger at any moment. Are you happy that there are two dead people now? And what exactly is your relationship to either of the two deceased.

It's bad form - not to mention distasteful and juvenile - to gloat over the death of another human being, even if you think you're scoring some political points against "the other side."
