where can i find the "gateway" and put online my internet connection?

i dont have internet connection because its says that the gateway its offline,
my question is: where i can change the gateway and put it online?

A gateway acts like the gate to a fenced in yard. Theoretically, you can't get in or out unless it's open.

The gateway for an internet connection is usually your router, or modem.
