I have a 99' chrysler conchorde xl and there is alot of play up and down on the passenger tire. WE found that the play was where the rod for that tire connects to the part that turns the wheels. dont know what its called on a car with front wheel drive. but it is the part that moves back and forth to make the wheels turn and the play is between that part and the rod that leads to the passenger wheel. i hoped i could find some pictures so when i call the mechanic i can tell him whats wrong by using the proper terminologhy. thanks in advance for your response

It sounds like you are talking about a tie rod end. There is an outer tie rod end and an inner. The outer is closer to the wheel and the inner is near the inside, close to the rack and pinion (which is the part that makes the rod go back and fourth).

For pictures in general, I usually use Google's search engine by typing in some basic details of what I'm looking for. There is an option in the upper-left corner on Google's site to pick images.
