I signed up to a 24 months contract with LA Fitness which ended in Dec 2009. I wrote a letter on the 25th Nov 2009 giving 30 days notice of the cancellation after the last direct debit was taken in Dec i cancel the direct debit. Since then i have received letters from LA Fitness saying i have outstanding debts etc i have repled to each letter trying to resolve the issue, i sent two emails via there website, there office hours are mon-fri 9-5 but as i work mon- fri 9- 5.30 i was unable to call to but a call was made on my behalf they saif they would call back but didn't after receiving another letter from them i wrote letter requested an urgent response. I have now received a letter from ARC LTD demanding the money or threating court action, i feel i have done in power to resolve this but as my emails/letters/calls have been ignored i have reachhed a dead end as you can imade it is causing me a lot of stress and worry. I just really need to know where i stand and advice on what to do as i really do not feel i am in the wrong.
