Where do you draw the line for humor?

At some extent, jokes just seem offensive or corny, what is the border? For me, if it involves pain or murder, then I don't find it funny, but on America's Funniest Home Videos apparently they cherish pain.

What do you consider as the border?
 
I don't have one. If something is lame, I won't laugh, but I have a very dead baby kind of sense of humor.
