In Genesis it says some of the sons of God came down from heaven and were dating human ladies, and some even married them. It was a serious mixture of races, the human race with the supernatural race.
Genesis 6:2

that was in the old testament and it was meant for the israelites.
God was trying to take these people, who were just freed from slavery, and make them into a separate holy nation and people. He didnt want them to marry from different cultures around them, b/c he didnt want to to be influenced back into the immoral beliefs many had around them. this was in the beginnings of their making of who they are. there were alot of different racial relationships through the bible. I believe God had certain cities in mind, not race....those who practice idolatry esp.

Jews are prohibited from marrying outside their ethnic group. (Torah and Nehemiah)

Christians are advised from marrying outside their religion (I Corinthians).

There are no express commands to Gentiles to marry only someone with the same skin color or ethnicity, and the law to Jews was only intended to protect inheritances.

This pertains the Israelites of the Old Testament. God needed to keep the bloodline pure for the coming Messiah. That's why Satan tried so hard to persuade them to idol worship and mingling with other nations.
