Where is the beef in the Philippines imported from?

I wonder about this because the beef we have bought is very tough. Like maybe from old steers. It takes forever to cook til tender. I do not like to add meat tenderizers. I do not use MSG. Even the beef at Mc Donalds tastes different. Even tried porterhouse steaks at local restaurant. Just not the same. Does anyone know?
