Where is the BTSI override switch in a 1996 GMC Yukon?

I just got my brake switch replaced at a local repair shop because my brake lights were not working. I drove it to Walmart and parked it. When I tried to leave, I can't shift out of Park. Now my truck is stuck and the automotive shop is closed for the night. I researched it online and heard I can use a screwdriver and push an override switch which will allow me to shift into gear until I get the problem fixed. Where is this located and can I do this without having to remove anything? There is a hole underneath my steering column but I don't want to try experimenting with it until I get some feedback. Thank you!
