where to get xvid for my computer?

I need to get "xvid" to playback my video on my video recorder and I just bought a new computer and am nervous about which site to download it from, because of virus' or spyware... Does anybody have any suggesting? thanks-Lee

Just download the Divx player or VLC media player. I prefer VLC personally- it's smaller, faster and can play just about anything...
