am new to riding and am unsure of where the best place to shift up when riding 06 gsxr 600. When cruising, where should i shift up? when riding for performance, where should i shift up? I heard that shifting up when lower than 6000 rpm can cause stalls, and also be less fuel efficient when cruising. Also, what is a good rpm to stay at when cruising? I don't know if it is also bad for the bike to shift to early as well. Anyone Have any ideas?

If you cant figure it out by LISTENING to the bike, you might consider trading it in for something a little less complicated to drive, with an automatic transmission that shifts for you.

newbie & just learning... should be shifting below 6000 rpm all the time..

around town at 35 mph.. should be one down from top gear..

& the bike wont stall at anything over 2000rpm
