Whereis the best places to travel in Irland? :)?

Ok well i am hoping to travel to Irland in the next few years. I am currently 18 so i wont go for a while because i need to save money.
I have wanted to travel to Irland all my life the thing is that i have really no idea about the towns and citys and what there is to do.
Also how long should one person stay to check out irland? (i have lots of spare time)
Also what is the currency? I am currently in australia so i will need to convert my money when the time comes to that.

Is there any places you reccomend?

Here is a route plan that are the most beautiful places. They use the euro. If you want to work there, the best place to stay is Dublin. My cousin works there I have been several times. If you have driving license the best is to drive around every free time that you have.

The currency is Euro, like many other EU countries.

As regards finding out what's in Ireland, I suggest going to your local library's travel section and checking out what travel guides there are there, and reading them.
