...specs and details included!)? Alright I understand all of the details with wiring, ohms, rms vs peak power handling, etc.
All I need to know is which of these setups will produce the best quality audio!
Subs Option 1:
Two 12" Polk Audio MM1240 Single Voice coil 4 ohm subs, power handling up to 425 watts rms each. Wired parallel to produce a 2 ohm load to a mono block amp.
Subs Option 2:
Same subs except they would be the Dual Voice coil models, all 4 voice coils wired in parallel to produce a 1 ohm load to a mono block amp.
Amp Option 1:
Polk Audio PA1200.1 mono block class D amp which produces 1200 watts rms at 1 ohm or 800 watts rms at 2 ohms
Amp Option 2:
Bazooka MGA11000H mono block class H amp which produces 1008 watts rms at 2 ohms but only 780 watts at 1 ohm.
I may reiterate that getting the maximum watts/volume from the system is not important. I am going for quality here and the Polk Audio brand is very high quality. My brother installed a full Polk Audio system in his Jeep Wrangler and it sounds incredible. That mono block Polk Audio amp retails at over $750 while the Bazooka retails at $350 so I'm betting that the PA is the better amp.
I also noticed that the Single Voice coil subs have a low end frequency response of 22 Hz while the Dual Voice coil's have a low end response of 27 Hz, would this even be an audible difference?
