I like them both, but if I had to choose I would go indie film. I watch a lot of great indie films at http://www.eyesoda.com. It's not free, but it has some indie films that you can see any where else and lots of feature length films.

I think indie film is so important for our culture and society. Not everybody is packaged up like Hollywood stars. So, we need indie films to see ourselves.

What do you think?

both are great, and both suck at the same time. it depends.

hollywood has a nasty habit of taking a good idea and beating it dead into the ground, so, about 15 percent of hollywood hits i can sit through.

indie films WERE great until the "Clerks" story inspired way too many people with a camcorder to slap a peice of sh!t together. Clerks did good and bad with that one.

so, generally speaking, if it hasn't been done to death, or at least has a story that means something that is passionate to the film maker (tie: he/she is trying to connect to the audience about something with substance or meaning) i'll generally enjoy it.

but i'll lean towards indie films, lack of resources deserve bigger props.

Yeah, I love both as well. Hollywood obviously has the bigger budget and can afford the better or at least bigger actors. But Indie filmakers really strive to come up with original ideas, and alot of the time, the somewhat grainy quality of the film they use makes the movie seem real, eg. Half Nelson.

Thanks for the site link as well btw, I'll check that out soon.
