Which folder do contacts in the iPhone go when you sync it?

My iPhone got stolen this weekend :(
I have a PC, and have synced my iPhone before, but not sure where the contacts went. Did not want to lose all of my contacts. Can anyone tell me where the contacts are synced to (what folder they are in)? Don't think I chose the option of syncing to Microsoft Outlook..
