Which handheld console should I buy?

I want to play GB, GBC and GBA games, so should I buy the DS Lite or the GBA or the GBA SP to play these games all?
My Question is : Can the DS Lite or the GBA SP or the GBA plays GB, GBC and GBA games?
 
The ds lite has a slot for gba games but I also think it can play gb and gbc games too. You might want to do some research on that though. The gba and gba sp have really no differences in game compatibility. The sp just has a lit screen and different design. So get the gba sp over the gba, since they're both really cheap now.
