which has better mobile reception: vodafone or t-mobile?

i'm changing phone provider soon and both of these have good deals on a phone i want, so i was wondering which is better?
i live in colchester, essex, so i'd mostly use it in and around essex- thats where the signal has to be best. i also go to kent regularly so it'd be good if it was good there too.
which is best for me?

T-Mobile is pants and they will merge with Orange soon and that's not much better so out of the 2 I would go with Vodafone but given a choice it would be O2 without a doubt far better than the others
