Which is a more ideal place to vacation with young kids: New York or Hawaii?

I have a 5 y.o. & a 7 y.o., and we have an opportunity to possibly stay in Manhattan or Oahu for a week next spring (late May/early June). This is our first "big" vacation, and our family vote is spilt! Any input?
 
I would like to suggest you to visit New York as there are many things for the kids & i would like to suggest you to visit Orlando in Florida as there is Disney park definitely your kids will like it.
